Ticketed Events – Terms and Conditions of Sale

SkyCity Adelaide Pty Ltd trading as The District at SkyCity (ABN 72 082 362 061) (“SkyCity”) sells and distributes tickets for certain events that its holds at its venue. In providing such services, SkyCity owns and operates www.thedistrictatskycity.com.au and www.skycityadelaide.com.au (“Site”).

These terms and conditions relate to both the sale of tickets and attendance at events at The District at SkyCity and apply to both the original purchaser and any subsequent ticketholder (“You). By purchasing a ticket from SkyCity and the Site, You agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. We therefore recommend that you carefully review these terms and conditions before proceeding with your purchase.

Terms and Conditions

Refunds, exchanges and replacements

SkyCity will only offer a refund or exchange of a ticket if an event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated by SkyCity (and You cannot or do not wish to attend the rescheduled or relocated event) or where SkyCity is required to do so by law (including the Australian Consumer Law). You must apply for a refund or exchange within a reasonable time and must provide proof of purchase. Unless otherwise advised, refunds will be automatically be processed to the credit card originally used for purchase. For the avoidance of any doubt, and in accordance with Live Performance Australia’s Code of Practice for Event Ticketing, SkyCity does not offer refunds for the following reasons (without limitation):

  • failure or inability to attend an event;
  • change of mind or personal circumstances;
  • late attendance;
  • refused entry or eviction from the event;
  • event dissatisfaction.

If an event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated by SkyCity, all liability is limited to the amount for which the ticket was purchased (including any fees or charges). Unless required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), SkyCity will not be liable for any other losses incurred by you as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or relocation of an event, including, but not limited to, any travel and accommodation expenses.

SkyCity will only replace lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets if the authenticity of the ticket can be verified, including proof of purchase, and if you provide SkyCity with reasonable notice before the event. SkyCity may charge a reasonable fee for the replacement of any ticket.

Conditions of Entry

You must be at least 18 years of age to attend an event at The District at Skycity. You must present your ticket to relevant SkyCity staff in order to enter the event. Entry to an event may be refused if the authenticity or validity of a ticket is disputed, including because the ticket has been damaged or defaced in any way, or has not been purchased from SkyCity or any other authorised seller.

You may be denied entry into, or removed from, an event where SkyCity has reasonable grounds to do so, including if You are intoxicated, under the influence of illicit drugs, inappropriately attired or adversely affecting the enjoyment of the event by others. You may, in certain circumstances, not be permitted to take into the event, or use, cameras or other photographic or recording equipment (including mobile phones).

Resale of tickets & scalping

Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of SkyCity, be resold or offered for resale at a premium, used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes or to enhance the demand for other goods or services. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled by SkyCity without a refund and the ticketholder of the ticket may be refused admission.

Collection and delivery of tickets

Methods of collection and/or delivery of tickets will be available when choosing your collection/delivery details. In the interests of minimising ticket scalping, SkyCity may, at its discretion, change your delivery method to collection at the venue. Where concessions are applicable, suitable and valid identification must be provided for collection of tickets and at the event.

When purchasing tickets for a particular event you may be limited to purchasing a specified number of tickets. This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information. Ticket limits apply to ensure fair access to tickets for patrons, and as a measure to minimise ticket scalping.

Payment methods

Please note the ticket prices, as advertised by SkyCity, are exclusive of relevant fees and charges. All payments made by credit card will incur a credit card surcharge. These are 1.5% for VISA and MasterCard and 2% for American Express, Diners, Union Pay and JCB.

Variation to Terms and Conditions

SkyCity may vary these Terms and Conditions at any time by updating them. Any variations will only apply to ticket purchases made after these Terms and Conditions have been updated.

The Sites Terms of Use and the SkyCity Adelaide Privacy Policy are incorporated into these Terms and Conditions and apply to all sales through this Site.
