‘Big Think Trivia Night’ by The District at SkyCity

Terms & Conditions of Entry

1. BACKGROUND

 

1.1 Promoter is SkyCity Adelaide Pty Ltd t/as The District at SkyCity of North Terrace, Adelaide, SA ABN 72 082 362 061 (SkyCity);

1.2 SkyCity reserves the right to refuse entry to any person at its absolute discretion;

1.3 By entering into and participating in The District at SkyCity ‘Big Think Trivia Night’ (Trivia Night), each entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these terms and conditions. All promotional material including information on internal signage forms part of the conditions of entry. Failure to observe the conditions of entry may result in disqualification; and

1.4 SkyCity reserves the right to alter, amend, terminate, postpone or cancel any round of a Trivia Night at its sole discretion.

2. DEFINITIONS

In this agreement:

Entrant means any participating player of the SkyCity District ‘Big Think Trivia Night’;

SkyCity means SkyCity Adelaide Pty Ltd ACN 082 362 061;

Team means a maximum of 6 entrants in the participating group;

Team Captain means an Entrant who has been selected as the nominated captain of eachrespective Team, which must be in attendance for every round;

Trivia Night means the SkyCity District ‘Big Think Trivia Night’;

You or Your means the Entrant.

 

3. ELIGIBILITY

3.1 Entrants must be 18 years or older. Employees of SkyCity and their family members are not eligible to enter the Trivia Night; and

3.2 Entrants must be able to provide approved photographic identification upon request from a SkyCity employee. Approved photographic identification may also be required prior to the payment of any prizes.

4. TRIVIA NIGHT RULES

4.1 The Trivia Night commences on 7 May 2025 at 7pm and continues to run on each Wednesday for a 9-week period plus an additional week for the Grand Final Round. Teams can register at any time;

4.2 The top 8 Teams will qualify for the Grand Final Round to be held on 9 July 2025;
4.3 Teams must have a minimum of 2 Entrants and a maximum of 6 Entrants. A Team Captain must be nominated by each Team and a Team Captain must be present for every round in the 9-week series; and

4.4 When the series and Grand Final Round concludes, The District at SkyCity will continue to hold ad hoc Trivia Nights each Wednesday (until further notice).

5. PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

5.1 SkyCity’s Trivia Night is operated in conjunction with a third-party known as “QuizzaMe”;

5.2 By entering and participating in the Triva Night, each Entrants accepts all the terms and conditions contained in the Player Code of Conduct provided by QuizzaMe accessible via the following website: Player Code of Conduct – QuizzaMe. The terms and conditions found in the Player Code of Conduct also form part of these terms and conditions. If there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and the Player Code of Conduct then these terms and conditions will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency; and

5.3 All Entrants should refer to QuizzaMe’s Player Code of Conduct for further information in relation to the Guidelines and Rules associated with the Trivia Night.

6. PRIZES

6.1 Weekly prizes will be presented to the winning Team (ie, the Team that finishes top at the end of the round for that week). These prizes include $50 vouchers for use at The District at SkyCity and various other spot prizes (to be determined by SkyCity at its sole discretion);

6.2 The Grand Final prize will be awarded to the Team that finishes top in the Grand Final Round. If two Teams tie, a “sudden death” round will be held until a winner is determined. The Grand Final Prize will be $5,000 in cash and will be presented to the Team Captain of the winning Team in the Grand Final Round. SkyCity takes no responsibility in relation to the manner within which the $5,000 Grand Final prize is distributed amongst Team members; and

6.3 If any Entrant or Team is deemed ineligible, for any reason, any associated prize will be forfeitedto SkyCity.

6.4 Teams will accumulate points throughout the 9-week series based on their finishing position each week. The points will be awarded as follows:


1st place ​= 10 points

2nd place​= 9 points

3rd ​place​= 8 points

4th place ​= 7 points

5th place​= 6 points

6th place ​= 5 points

7th place ​= 4 points

8th place​= 3 points

9th place​= 2 points

10th place​= 1 point


The top 8 Teams with the highest cumulative points at the end of Week 9 will qualify for the Grand Final.

7. DISQUALIFICATION & DISPUTES
7.1 SkyCity reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant or Team acting in a disruptive or inappropriate manner as determined by SkyCity at its absolute discretion;
7.2 SkyCity reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant or Team that violates these terms and conditions; and
7.3 Any dispute or situation not covered by these terms and conditions will be resolved by SkyCity in a manner it deems to be the fairest to all concerned, and that decision shall be final and binding on all entrants. No discussions regarding the decision of SkyCity will be entered into.
8. LIABILITY

8.1 SkyCity will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained throughout the course of this promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

9.1 SkyCity reserves the right to publish Entrants’ names and photos for promotional and marketing purposes. If Entrants do not wish to have their name and photo published, they must inform SkyCity in writing. SkyCity may use the information that you provide during the registration process to provide you with information about its products and services. SkyCity will deal with your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

10. PRIVACY
